Islamophobia
A form of racism rooted in stereotypes that label all Muslim or Muslim “appearing”people as “terrorist.” This form of racism manifests itself in hate crimes, federal actions such as the “Patriot Act” and increased surveillance or racial profiling of Muslims, Arab-Americans or anyone who “appears” to be either.
